Alan
Hi, my name is Alan Vogel, I am from Switzerland, 17 years old. I have been living in the Bahamas for 3 years and I’m now studying in England at Earlscliffe. It is good to know people from different places, there is so much to know about other people’s culture. I am looking to expand my experience in other parts of the world. I am a very sociable person. I really enjoy trying out different food from places around the globe to see how diverse the world is. Budapest is a great opportunity to see what other places have to offer. This UNESCO trip is going to make us see how people are living in Hungary and what historical sites are relevant and part of the country’s culture.

Lorenzo
My name is Lorenzo, I'll turn 18 this year; currently I'm studying at Earlscliffe sixth form as an A-level student. I like reading, walking, listening to music and most importantly playing piano and chess. My parents are from China, but I was born in Italy and to learn Chinese I studied in a language school when I was in elementary school along with English; therefore I speak 3 languages. Since I grew up with both Italian and Chinese culture clashing. I've begun to observe the differences between the two and started analytically seeing the world. Last year I made the decision to study in the UK, and I've encountered people from many countries with different views, but that wasn't satisfactory, and I kept asking myself how might other people's point of view differ from mine. Subsequently, I would like to use this opportunity to meet people from Hungary and to visit the masterpieces their ancestors have built.
Mikhail
My name is Mikhail, I am 16 years old and I came to study history, business and politics in an international boarding school in England from Russia, looking forward to study business management in university and hopefully do it in the future. I am exploring English culture now by living and studying there, however I really like to explore new countries, places, people and their culture around the world so I would like to participate in UNESCO World Heritage programme. I also like to be helpful and share my knowledge in community.
Anton
Hi, my name is Anton, I´m sixteen years old and lived in Austria till one month ago, when I decided to attend Earlscliffe for two terms. I like doing sports like swimming, playing table tennis, football, and many others. I enjoy discussing controversial issues and thinking about them. That´s one of the many reasons why I like talking to people from different cultures and I´m definitely interested in making new friends in Hungary.
I think that you can´t really make a heritage site directly appealing to the young. From my understanding, what makes a heritage site interesting is that it shows a part of the culture and history of a certain society. The interest in culture in society however comes from thinking about society and questioning the conditions we, and others, live in, how they unravelled from the past, and how they´ll continue in the future. What really made me interested was talking to people from different cultures, showing me that certain facts are not only a part of history lessons, but actually affect people that you meet in real life. This then showed me that history and culture are not only interesting, but even more important things that we should think about.
In conclusion I think bringing people from different cultures together is definitely one of the best ways to get people interested in culture, and therefore heritage sites.
I would like to learn more about UNESCO world heritage sites, as they often represent culture and therefore how people live and lived in different parts of the world. I´m very interested in learning those different ways of living, because these experiences make me question, whether what I have and do is "normal", and often open my eyes for new ways of thinking.
Sarah

In my free time I’m dancing Hip Hop, do kickboxing and I spend a lot of time with my friends. I really like traveling around the world to learn more about different countries with their culture and food. In my opinion it is really important to know people all over the world. So I would be really happy if I can go to Budapest.
